Here you'll find a taste of inspiration from some of the most popular tracks my clients request.
Every event is different, so I tailor my approach to suit your musical tastes, your guests, and the kind of atmosphere you'd like to create.
Leading up to your event, we'll chat about your favourite genres, artists, eras, must-play songs, and the overall atmosphere you'd like to create. If you'd like, it's helpful to build a playlist of your favourite dancefloor tracks. Alternatively, once we've narrowed down your preferred genres and eras, I can provide curated track lists of songs that I find work exceptionally well on the dancefloor, within those parameters.
I'll then build a bespoke set designed specifically for you and your guests, while still leaving enough flexibility to adapt to the crowd and read the room on the night.
For most wedding dancefloors: I typically begin with edits of well-known, cross-generational singalongs to get as many people involved as possible. From there, I gradually build the energy throughout the night, typically blending nostalgic or popular favourites (chosen from your playlist) with progressively more energetic dance tracks. I find this works really well because it brings almost everyone onto the dancefloor early, then naturally evolves as the less enthusiastic dancers peel away, allowing the music to ramp up for those who want to keep the party going.
That said, every wedding is different, so I tailor this approach to suit your musical tastes, your guests, and the kind of atmosphere you'd like to create.

Warm Up 1
Many genres offer lower-energy, emotionally rich tracks that work beautifully during a cocktail hour or dinner DJ set. These sets are also the perfect place to include your favourite low- to medium-energy R&B, pop, folk, rock, or indie music, creating a relaxed atmosphere before the energy gradually builds into the dancefloor.

Mid Energy 1
For the start of my Dance-floor sets, after your first dance. I like to start with “medium energy” tracks. Tracks that are playful, inviting, not too intense, and give me plenty of room to build energy on. The following 3 linked are some classic, recognisable, emotional, sing-along able tracks that work really well for weddings.

High Energy 1
Many celebrations are best kept at medium energy, if you’d like to give me the option of pushing into high energy that’s awesome too. Note: I’ll read the room, and if the room isn’t ready, we wont force it.

Peak Energy 1
Many celebrations are best kept at high energy. But, for events that want to ramp things all the way up, genres like Tech House, Techno, Drum and Bass are what we can move into. Note: I’ll read the room, and if the room isn’t ready, we wont force it.
